A magazine for all of you dealing with SM, whether you have SM yourself, are a family member, friend, teacher, professional or just want to find out more about the disorder.

Some articles in the magazine are written by myself (you can find out more about me on the About page) and some are written by others who are effected by SM.

Each issue there will be a different person writing about their personal experience with SM. If you would like to send in your story to share in the magazine, please go to the I Want To Help page for more details on how to send this in.

What is selective mutism?

Selective mutism is an anxiety disorder where the person is unable to talk in certain situations. They are capable of talking and can understand everything that is being said but may find themselves unable to respond because of the anxiety.
